Hancom Achieves Record High Performance with Annual Sales Surpassing 400 Billion Won for the First Time
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Hancom, a leading Korean software company, has surpassed 400 billion KRW in annual sales for the first time since its founding.
On the 16th, Hancom announced that last year it recorded sales of 401.3 billion KRW and an operating profit of 68.2 billion KRW. These figures represent growth of 25.7% and 105.4% respectively compared to the previous year. Both sales and operating profit are all-time highs.
Hancom’s strong performance was driven by the expansion of remote work due to COVID-19 and growth among its subsidiaries.
With the expansion of new customers in B2B sectors such as Hancom Office, both sales and operating profit grew, and users of the cloud office service 'Hancom Space,' a non-face-to-face service, also increased rapidly.
Hancom Lifecare achieved sales of 151.8 billion KRW, growing 128.6% year-on-year, by supplying personal protective masks and other daily safety products domestically and internationally.
Hancom MDS laid the groundwork for business expansion in the mobility sector through continuous supply of autonomous driving simulators. It also confirmed the potential for overseas business expansion through the export of its self-developed Internet of Things (IoT) platform 'NeoIDM' to Japan.
This year, Hancom plans to focus on cloud and service sectors.
Domestically, it will leverage partnerships in the cloud sector with companies such as KT, Naver, and NHN. Overseas, it plans to strengthen cooperation with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and launch the collaboration platform service 'Hancom Works' in the first quarter to focus on global expansion.
