[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Heo In-hoe, former director of the Green Dream Cooperative, who was prosecuted on charges including soliciting the supply of eavesdropping detection devices from a specific company to the National Assembly and government agencies, has been released on bail.
According to the court and prosecution on the 16th, Heo applied for bail at the Seoul Northern District Court last month, and the court accepted the request, leading to his release on the 29th of the same month. He was detained and indicted on August 27 of last year and was scheduled to be released on the 26th due to the expiration of the detention period.

Accordingly, Heo will face the remaining trial while out on bail. The trial for Heo was originally scheduled for the 8th of last month but was postponed to the 12th of the following month after several COVID-19 cases were confirmed at the Dongbu Detention Center.
