Gwangju Fire Headquarters Conducts Surprise Cross-Inspections at Multi-Use Facilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Gwangju Metropolitan City Fire Safety Headquarters announced on the 16th that it will conduct unannounced cross-inspections between fire stations at 15 large multi-use facilities, including sales facilities, until the 26th.
This crackdown was promoted to preemptively remove evacuation obstacles such as emergency exit blockages through surprise inspections, as the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic could lead to negligence in the maintenance and management of fire and fire prevention facilities in multi-use facilities.
The main inspection items include ▲ management status of fire doors and fire shutters ▲ closure or locking of emergency exits ▲ placement of obstacles in evacuation routes ▲ power or valve shutdown of fire facilities.
The inspection team plans to minimize contact with citizens while complying with COVID-19 prevention guidelines and wearing protective equipment.
