[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Park Sam-rye, Chairperson of the Gwangjin District Council, participated in the 'Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge' on the 16th.
The 'Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge' is a campaign promoted to establish a culture that prioritizes child protection. It was initiated by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to form a national consensus on preventing children's traffic accidents, following a recent increase in child fatalities in school zones.
Participants take photos featuring the traffic safety slogan "Stop at 1! Look both ways at 2! For 3 seconds! Prevent the 4 dangers!" and post them on social networking services (SNS), then nominate the next participant.
Chairperson Park Sam-rye joined the challenge after being nominated by Lee Hyun-joo, Chairperson of the Dongdaemun District Council, and nominated Council Member Jang Kyung-hee of the Gwangjin District Council as the next participant.
