At around 3:50 PM on the 15th, a fire occurred on an electric city bus running from Nammun-dong, Jinhae-gu, Changwon-si, toward the Jinhae-gu Office. The bus was completely burned, causing an estimated property damage of about 400 million KRW according to the fire department.
There were no passengers on the bus at the time, so no casualties were reported. The fire was extinguished by the fire authorities who responded to the report in about 30 minutes.
The bus, manufactured in 2019, caught fire on the roof area where the battery is located while moving to the garage after completing maintenance at the repair shop.

The police and fire authorities plan to investigate the cause of the fire by questioning the bus driver and others.
