[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The Ministry of Unification stated that there is "no special information to confirm" regarding the predictions of military provocations related to North Korea's Gwangmyeongseongjeol (Kim Jong-il's birthday) approaching on the 16th.
In a written briefing on the 15th, a Ministry of Unification official said, "This year marks the 79th anniversary of Kim Jong-il's birth," adding, "So far, reports have covered the opening of the Central Photo Exhibition, performances by labor organizations, and discussions and celebratory events on Kim Jong-il's achievements in various countries."
