Governor Kim Kyung-su Visits Masan Medical Center for Lunar New Year Holiday
On the 8th, visited Masan Medical Center to encourage medical staff and employees and listen to their difficulties
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Kim Kyung-soo, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, visited Masan Medical Center on the afternoon of the 8th to encourage medical staff and employees.
Governor Kim received a report on the response to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) from Director Hwang Suhyun and visited the inpatient monitoring room, administration department, and screening clinic in sequence.
Recently, the trend of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Gyeongnam has somewhat calmed down since the end of last month. However, sporadic infections are still occurring, so the situation cannot be considered safe.
Governor Kim mentioned that the fatality rate of confirmed cases in Gyeongnam is the second lowest after Jeju Island, saying, "I believe this was possible because of the sweat and efforts of the medical staff and employees at Masan Medical Center," and expressed his gratitude on behalf of the residents.
He also said, "We will do our best to prepare well for the final hurdle, the vaccination, so that it can be completed safely," and urged, "Please finish well until COVID-19 is overcome and take special care of the health of the residents."
