Korea Rail Network Authority's 'Hope Sharing' for Lunar New Year at 18 Welfare Institutions in 6 Regions

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jo Gang-wook] The Korea Rail Network Authority announced on the 8th that it will carry out Seollal (Lunar New Year) hope-sharing activities for vulnerable groups in six regions nationwide, including Seoul, Busan, Gwangju, Suncheon, Daejeon, and Wonju, until the 9th in celebration of the Year of the Ox.
The Authority plans to visit 18 welfare centers, such as child and elderly living-alone institutions, located in the areas where its headquarters and five regional offices are based, to deliver sponsored goods and financial support.
Since its establishment in 2004, the Authority has donated approximately 620 million KRW worth of sponsorship funds and daily necessities to neighbors in need within local communities through sharing activities during Seollal, Chuseok, and year-end holidays.

Chairman Kim Sang-gyun said, "Through this sharing activity, I hope to provide some warmth to community neighbors who are struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic," adding, "We will continue to carry out various support activities that can coexist with local communities."
