[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Seongsoo Park) will hold a commissioning ceremony on the 8th for new members of the 'Songpa-gu District Newsletter Honorary Reporters,' who will serve as the eyes and ears of the residents and deliver vivid district news.
This commissioning ceremony will be conducted on-tact using a video conferencing platform to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The 'Songpa-gu District Newsletter Honorary Reporters' are appointed by the district mayor upon the recommendation of one person from each of the 27 neighborhoods in the district. Since its inception in 1996, it has promoted district administration through the Songpa-gu newsletter.
The honorary reporters representing each neighborhood play the role of a connector between the district administration and residents by discovering heartwarming neighborhood news, directly reporting it, and delivering it vividly to the residents during their two-year term.
This on-tact commissioning ceremony will include the awarding of commissioning certificates to seven newly appointed members and commendation certificates to five outstanding reporters who have actively delivered news from each neighborhood.
Additionally, the inauguration ceremony of 'Kim Hyosuk, Head of Macheon 1-dong,' who was elected as the head in 2021, and the election of executives will be held, newly organizing the Songpa-gu District Newsletter Honorary Reporters and officially starting their activities this year.
