Dongjak-gu, Selection of Youth Advisors for the Innovative Education District
Recruiting Around 10 Youth with Experience in Innovation Education Projects by the 17th... Supporting and Assisting Youth Autonomous Activities such as Youth Council and Youth Committees
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) is selecting 'Youth Advisors' to promote youth self-governance activities.
The 'Youth Advisors' will support youth self-governance activities such as policy research assistance for the Youth Council, youth committees, and youth festivals, as part of the Dongjak Innovation Education project.
Applicants must be high school graduates or expected graduates with experience participating in youth self-governance activities within the Dongjak Innovation Education District. Approximately 10 candidates will be recruited by the 17th.
After document and interview evaluations assessing youth self-governance experience and willingness to participate, the final selection will be made on February 24.
The selected Youth Advisors will be assigned to their desired fields within youth self-governance activities until December, working part-time less than 15 hours per week and receiving an hourly allowance of 10,000 KRW.

Last year, nine Youth Advisors were selected and supported activities such as ▲Understanding the Council ▲Regular Meetings ▲Youth eSports Tournament operations.

Jongrok Jeong, head of the Education Policy Division, said, “Youth Advisors, who are familiar with local circumstances and have had similar experiences, will serve as mentors to fully support Dongjak youth. We will do our best to establish a foundation that allows youth to continue participating in innovation education projects even after becoming young adults.”
