Gyeongnam Province Ranks 4th in Integrity, Prepares Comprehensive Plan to Rebound to Top Tier
Operation of Anti-Corruption Management System for the First Time in Metropolitan Local Governments, Activation of Corruption and Public Interest Reporting
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do is preparing the '2021 Comprehensive Plan for Integrity Improvement' and promoting high-intensity anti-corruption policies to create a transparent and fair Gyeongnam.
The comprehensive plan includes creating an autonomous internal integrity system through the operation of an anti-corruption management system and a self-integrity management system, spreading a culture of integrity created together through webtoons, relays, and more, and making a clean Gyeongnam together with the public and private sectors.
The province continuously strengthens anti-corruption prevention through internal high-ranking public officials' integrity and external integrity diagnosis services.
In addition, it plans to activate corruption public interest reporting through the operation of an integrated online corruption public interest reporting center, the establishment of an exclusive reporting system for honorary provincial auditors, and the promotion of an anonymous reporting system to eradicate corruption among internal public officials.
Last year, the province received a comprehensive integrity grade of 4 in the public institution integrity evaluation conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
