Samsung Securities, 'Fund Distributor Evaluation' A+ for 4 Consecutive Years...The Only One in the Financial Industry
[Asia Economy Reporter Ji-hwan Park] Samsung Securities announced on the 3rd that it received an A+ rating for the fourth consecutive year in the '2020 Fund Distributor Evaluation' conducted by the Korea Financial Investment Investor Protection Foundation. This is the first time in the financial industry to receive the highest rating for four consecutive years.
This fund distributor evaluation was conducted on a total of 28 fund distributors, including 17 securities companies, 10 banks, and 1 insurance company, all of which have a certain level of assets under custody and number of accounts.
The evaluation was divided into fund sales procedures and post-management sections. Among them, Samsung Securities ranked high in both sections and received an overall A+ rating.
Samsung Securities explained, "It was effective to improve employees' proficiency and capabilities in the fund sales process through quarterly internal mystery shopping," adding, "Since last year, the scope of mystery shopping has been expanded to all PBs at branches to enhance education and service levels, thereby strengthening investor protection."
Samsung Securities is leading efforts to strengthen financial consumer education through YouTube videos for beginner investors and customized content by skill level. It provides Financial Care services, a head office-led post-management and risk management service system, focusing on target returns and risk management by product.
