Yeosu City Supports 4 Million Won for New LPG Cargo Truck Purchases
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Yeosu City (Mayor Kwon Oh-bong) announced on the 1st that it will support the purchase cost of new LPG 1-ton cargo trucks to address air pollution problems caused by the operation of livelihood-type old diesel vehicles in densely populated urban areas.
This year, 468 million KRW will be invested to support 117 LPG 1-ton cargo trucks.
The support amount is 4 million KRW when scrapping a diesel vehicle and purchasing a new LPG cargo truck, and early scrapping subsidies can also be applied for eligible vehicles.
The support targets are individuals, corporations, or organizations who have scrapped diesel vehicles registered with Yeosu City as their place of use and wish to purchase a new LPG 1-ton cargo truck.
In addition, to prevent damage due to vehicle supply delays, applications are possible even if the vehicle was scrapped or a new vehicle was contracted or registered for purchase within two months prior to being selected as a subsidy recipient.
However, vehicles that have undergone low-emission measures must complete the mandatory operation period to be eligible for support.
Citizens wishing to participate in the project can visit the Yeosu City Climate Ecology Division or apply by registered mail from today until the 19th.
Detailed information, including the application form, can be found on the Yeosu City website under notices and announcements.
