KBIZ AMP Alumni Association Elects Kim Jeong-gil, CEO of Gilsan Industry, as New President
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The KBIZ AMP Alumni Association for Small and Medium Business Executives held its regular general meeting and president inauguration ceremony on the 1st at the Korea Federation of SMEs in Yeouido.
About 40 alumni who completed the KBIZ AMP course, including Kim Ki-moon, Chairman of the Korea Federation of SMEs, and Cho Si-young, President of the KBIZ AMP Alumni Association, attended.
The event was held in compliance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines, with representatives from each class attending. Kim Jung-gil, Senior Vice Chairman, was unanimously elected as the next president of the Alumni Association. Kim, CEO of Gilsan Industry, is from the 9th KBIZ AMP class.
Outgoing President Cho said, "Although we had the most difficult and challenging year due to COVID-19, what I remember most is that the alumni collectively donated 37.8 million KRW to the Small and Medium Business Love Sharing Foundation."
He added, "I thank the new President Kim Jung-gil for taking on the presidency during these difficult times, and I look forward to the 9th Alumni Association's further development."
New President Kim said, "Together with the 14th class graduates from last year, I will faithfully fulfill my role as president to continue the excellent traditions of the Alumni Association, promote greater harmony among members, and make the alumni association more active."
At the general meeting, Sun Hye-young, CEO of Sun Coaching Institute, was selected as the proud alumnus who shone brightly in the industry this year.
Meanwhile, KBIZ AMP was launched in 2008 as the SB-CEO School to enhance the capabilities of small and medium business executives and activate business networks, producing over 860 alumni from various sectors including the SME community, government, related organizations, and expert groups.
