Yonsei University to Host 'Global Sustainable Development Forum' Online on 4th-5th
Special Dialogue between Angelina Jolie and Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Yonsei University will hold the 3rd Global Sustainable Development Forum (GEEF) online for two days starting from the 4th.
Under the theme "Beyond Peace, Prosperity, Cooperation, and Security," this forum is organized to diagnose the global crisis caused by the spread of COVID-19. It will review the problems of the international cooperation system centered on some developed countries and discuss the direction of changes in the international cooperation system to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals set by the UN.
In a special talk on the 5th, Angelina Jolie, a UNHCR Special Envoy and actress, and Ban Ki-moon, Honorary Director of Yonsei University's Global Social Contribution Institute (8th UN Secretary-General), will discuss the need for global cooperation for children, women, and refugees worldwide who have been marginalized during the COVID-19 response.
