Sempio Launches 'Kkotge Tojang Jjigae' and 'Chadol Tojang Jjigae' Made with Tojang Paste
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Sempio launched new stew soybean paste products, ‘Kkotge Tojang Jjigae’ and ‘Chadol Tojang Jjigae,’ on the 29th.
Previously, Sempio’s ‘Tojang Jjigae,’ introduced in June last year, achieved a 14% market share within one year of its launch, becoming the number one single product in the stew soybean paste market and gaining popularity in the premium soybean paste market. ‘Tojang Jjigae’ is a product that adds various seasonings to the noble family’s special soybean paste called Tojang, allowing the stew to be completed without separately preparing broth.
Based on the insight that the most popular main ingredients for soybean paste stew are blue crab and beef brisket, Sempio released two new products that make it easy to enjoy the refreshing and rich flavors of seafood and meat using simple vegetables from the refrigerator.
