They insisted that the responsibility for costs related to deploying sorting personnel should be clearly assigned to the company.
On the 28th, the CJ Logistics Courier Agency Union stated in an official statement, "All of the approximately 3,000 sorting personnel currently deployed on-site are workers dispatched from the agencies," and added, "If a resolution to the primary contractor's sorting and unilateral policy implementation is not reached by today, we will make the decision to withdraw the sorting personnel deployed on-site starting from the 29th."
The union claimed that currently, about 70% of the costs for sorting personnel are reluctantly paid by the agencies, while the company is shifting the responsibility.
The agency union explained, "CJ Logistics declared last October that it would invest 50 billion won to deploy sorting personnel to prevent courier drivers from overwork," and added, "They also promised to consult with the agencies on all specific matters related to this, but they have consistently ignored the crucial issue of costs."
They continued, "Moreover, the business operator arbitrarily sets the support funds at a level that agencies cannot accept and even forces the actual deployment of personnel," and claimed, "They are showing attempts to evade responsibility by telling stakeholders that 'the business operator cannot be the principal entity for (sorting personnel).'"

The union appealed, "In reality, most agencies have become the 'employers' bearing labor costs, weekly holiday allowances, overtime pay, and severance pay by receiving less than half of the support funds under the coercive instructions of the courier business operator," and urged, "A resolution to the company's unilateral policy implementation must be reached by today."
