Free Wi-Fi Provided Throughout All Areas of Gyeongnam Provincial Office and Western Government Complex
Significant Improvement in Transmission Speed and Concurrent Users Compared to Other Public Places
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do will provide free Wi-Fi service throughout the provincial government office and the Western Government Complex starting in February.
The transmission speed and the number of simultaneous connections have been greatly improved compared to equipment installed in other public places, aiming to provide high-quality free Wi-Fi service to visitors of the government office.
The province will prevent external hacking to ensure that the government office Wi-Fi service can be used safely.
Additionally, wireless intrusion prevention sensors will be installed throughout the government office to block unauthorized wireless devices and respond to security threats.
Meanwhile, as a major project of the ‘Gyeongnam-type Smart New Deal,’ the province is promoting the expansion of non-face-to-face public services.
Free Wi-Fi repeaters have been installed in about 1,700 city buses, 2,300 multi-use facilities, welfare facilities, tourist sites, and other locations to provide information and communication services to residents.
