[Click eStock] Naver Expected to Become Leading K-Content Stock... Target Price Upward Revised
[Asia Economy Reporter Ji Yeon-jin] Shinhan Financial Investment raised the target stock price to 410,000 won on the 25th, anticipating that Naver will emerge as the leading K-content platform stock by acquiring the world's largest web novel platform, 'Wattpad.'
Wattpad is a web novel platform with 90 million subscribers, and the web novel 'Kissing Booth' was even adapted into a movie on Netflix. Last year's sales amounted to 37.5 billion won, and this performance will be reflected as Naver's own revenue going forward.
Additionally, Naver invested a total of 230 billion won in SM affiliates and YG Entertainment affiliates, and Big Hit, YG Entertainment, and JYP Entertainment also invested a total of 17 billion won in Naver Z (Zepeto). This was in anticipation of synergy between Zepeto, a virtual world platform with 200 million subscribers, and artists.

Lee Moon-jong, Senior Researcher at Shinhan Financial Investment, said, "The platform competitiveness of V Live, Zepeto, and others with a large number of global users is expected to become more prominent over time," adding, "due to the success of webtoon-based video content such as 'Sweet Home,' the webtoon-applied PSR (Price Sales Ratio) was raised by 30% compared to before, and if the Nasdaq listing of domestic competing commerce companies proceeds successfully, the value of commerce will also be re-emphasized."
