Jeongseon-gun, 50% Reduction in Agricultural Machinery Rental Fees
Temporary Implementation from January to June
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do, will reduce agricultural machinery rental fees by 50% for farmers.
The county announced on the 20th, "Amid ongoing economic difficulties caused by COVID-19, we are implementing a policy to reduce farming costs in rural areas."
The 50% reduction in agricultural machinery rental fees will be implemented from this month until June, targeting a total of 540 agricultural machines of 61 types across three locations: the main agricultural machinery rental office, Sindong branch, and Imgye branch.
Meanwhile, since 2009, the county has been operating the nation's first 'Agricultural Machinery Quick Service,' which delivers agricultural machinery to farmers at the time and place they need it.

Additionally, an electric welding practice center has been established at the Agricultural Technology Center to provide welding training for farmers, and two agricultural machinery repair instructors have been assigned to eight eup and myeon rural areas to support mobile agricultural machinery education and repairs.
