Yeosu City Protects Future Generations' Health by Supplying Eco-Friendly Agricultural Products to Pregnant Women
Support of 480,000 KRW per person for pregnant women and mothers within 1 year after childbirth (9,600 KRW self-payment)
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Yeosu City (Mayor Kwon Oh-bong) announced on the 15th that it will supply healthy eco-friendly agricultural products to pregnant women from pregnancy through childbirth and weaning for the health of future generations.
According to the city, this year, 240 million KRW will be invested in the eco-friendly agricultural product support project for pregnant women to supply fresh fruits and vegetables, livestock products, and processed foods preferred by pregnant women.
Applicants must be pregnant women or mothers within one year after childbirth who have an address in Yeosu City as of the application date.
Those confirmed as pregnant women through the non-face-to-face qualification verification service or those who can verify pregnancy and childbirth through a pregnancy confirmation certificate, birth certificate, or maternal handbook can apply online or by submitting an application form to their local eup, myeon, or dong office.
Eligible recipients will be supported with eco-friendly agricultural product packages worth 384,000 KRW per person annually, excluding a self-payment of 96,000 KRW from the total 480,000 KRW.
The usage method allows purchases using points on the shopping mall from 30,000 KRW to 100,000 KRW per purchase, up to 4 times per month and 16 times per year. Eco-friendly agricultural and livestock products and organic processed foods in package form will be delivered to each household by courier.

A city official stated, “Through this project, we aim to expand the consumption of eco-friendly agricultural products and revitalize the local economy. We also expect it to leave a ‘rewarding experience’ for consumers encountering eco-friendly agricultural products for the first time, as well as contribute to the health of future generations.”
