Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education, 2nd Exam for Secondary School Teacher Candidates ... 313 Applicants
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 15th that the second competitive examination for the selection of candidates for public middle school teachers, including health, librarian, professional counselor, nutrition, and special (middle school) teachers, will begin on the 20th.
The second exam will start with the practical experiment evaluation on the 20th, followed by a teaching demonstration on the 26th, and an in-depth interview on teaching aptitude on the 27th.
The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education plans to select a final 214 candidates across 28 subjects from the 313 candidates who passed the first exam on December 29 last year (307 general candidates across 28 subjects, and 6 candidates with disabilities across 4 subjects).
Although COVID-19 confirmed cases were not allowed in the first exam, respecting the spirit of the Constitutional Court's decision on the bar exam, confirmed cases will be permitted in this exam. However, unlike the bar exam, which is conducted as a written test, there are many restrictions for confirmed cases to take the exam, so each case must be reviewed individually, explained the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education.
The final successful candidates will be announced on February 10, 2021. Individual scores of exam takers can be checked on the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education's secondary teacher appointment NAIS online recruitment system.
