View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jeonnam Student Education Center announced on the 13th that it will conduct a capacity-building job training for a total of 29 people, including 25 guiding teachers and related personnel, to operate the ‘2021 Jeonnam Peaceful Unification Hope School.’
This training, held over three days from the 13th to the 15th, was prepared to strengthen the capabilities necessary for operating the Jeonnam Peaceful Unification Hope School curriculum and guiding participating students, covering topics such as ▲democracy ▲independence movement ▲peaceful unification ▲inter-Korean exchange.
The ‘Jeonnam Peaceful Unification Hope School’ is a distinctive project of the Jeonnam Student Education Center that selects first-year high school students (including those in alternative schools) and out-of-school youth of the same grade within the province, operating based on ▲will for unification ▲motivation for participation ▲willingness to perform, to nurture democratic citizens dreaming of a unified Korean Peninsula.
Lee Gye-jun, principal of Jeonnam Peaceful Unification Hope School, said, “Through this training, I hope all faculty members participating in school operations will share the educational vision and goals of the Jeonnam Peaceful Unification Hope School,” and added, “I hope it will be a meaningful time to discuss and consult each other’s thoughts on the educational direction.”
The training will be conducted in strict compliance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines, including wearing masks, maintaining a distance of more than 2 meters between seats, and ventilating every hour.

Director Im Won-taek said, “Since the opportunity to participate is provided fairly not only to all first-year high school students but also to out-of-school youth, I hope measures will be prepared to allow many students to participate,” and urged, “Please do your best so that students can grow as leaders of peace and unification on the Korean Peninsula through the newly reorganized operation of the Jeonnam Peaceful Unification Hope School this year.”
