On the same day, Prime Minister Chung visited the COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team established at the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency in Osong, Chungbuk, and made this statement after receiving a report on the vaccination preparation status.
Prime Minister Chung emphasized, "It is a very challenging task to vaccinate almost the entire population with various types of vaccines in a short period," adding, "We must pour national capabilities into this and demonstrate the government's ability."
He said, "Major countries in the United States and Europe have already started vaccinations, but the vaccination speed is slower than initially planned, raising concerns that a large quantity of vaccines may be discarded due to expiration."
