Recruiting 10 Companies for 'Youth Tomorrow Finding Project with Social Ventures' until the 22nd... 90% Wage Support for 10 Months (Up to 1.8 Million KRW/Month) for Hiring Youth Job Seekers... 80% of Participants Employed as Full-Time Last Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jung Won-oh) is recruiting 10 social venture companies to participate in the 2021 ‘Finding Tomorrow for Youth with Social Ventures’ project until the 22nd of this month.
The ‘Finding Tomorrow for Youth with Social Ventures’ project is a job creation initiative that connects young people aspiring to enter the social economy sector with social venture companies.
For social venture companies, part of the wages for newly hired youth is supported to maintain stable employment, and for the youth, opportunities to gain fieldwork experience in the social venture sector and competency enhancement training at each growth stage are provided, aiming to link to regular employment.
In 2020, the district also connected youth job seekers to a total of 15 social venture companies through this project, supporting wages, and as a result, 12 companies ultimately employed 12 people as regular employees.
Especially this year, to adapt to the changing employment environment due to COVID-19 and strengthen job competencies, the fields in which youth will work have been specialized in digital and non-face-to-face technology-related areas.
Eligible companies for the call are social venture companies located in Seongdong-gu that can provide jobs in non-face-to-face and digital technology-related job fields.
Selected companies will receive support of up to 1.8 million KRW per month, which is 90% of the youth wage (based on 2 million KRW per month), for 10 months.
Youth to participate in the project will be recruited in February, and jobs will be matched; the youth will gain work experience for 10 months from March to December at each social venture company.
Application forms, submission documents, and application methods for participation in the project can be checked in detail on the Seongdong-gu Office website.
