Corporate Taxi Drivers in Gyeongnam Receive 500,000 Won Support
Payment Scheduled for February After Review Process in Each City and County
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongnam Province will provide a 500,000 KRW COVID-19 support fund to corporate taxi drivers within February.
The support fund will be given to drivers affiliated with taxi companies whose sales have decreased, who were employed before October 1 of last year and are currently working.
Corporate taxi company drivers must submit an application to their taxi company between the 8th and 15th, and the taxi companies will collect the applications and apply to the relevant city or county by the 18th.
The province plans to finalize the recipients after the cities and counties review and approve the applications, and the cities and counties plan to begin disbursing the support funds within February.
Heo Dongsik, Director of the Provincial Urban Transportation Bureau, said, “We hope this support will be another source of strength for corporate taxi drivers to overcome this crisis.”
