The "Farmers and Fishermen Public Interest Allowance Support Project," implemented since last year to maintain and enhance the public interest functions of agriculture, fisheries, and rural areas and to improve the quality of life of farmers and fishermen, will accept applications from the 11th of this month until February 10th.
This year, the number of eligible recipients is 19,257 (project budget 11.5 billion KRW). After receiving applications, verification and selection of recipients will be conducted, and payments equivalent to 600,000 KRW in local currency will be made twice within the year (first and second half).
Applications must be submitted by visiting the town or township office of the applicant's residence and filling out the application form, consent form for collection and use of personal information, and pledge form.
Additionally, the "Women Farmers and Fishermen Happiness Voucher Support Project," aimed at improving the quality of life and promoting cultural activities for women farmers and fishermen, is accepting applications from January 4th until February 26th.
The Women Farmers and Fishermen Happiness Voucher Support Project provides voucher cards worth 200,000 KRW (including a 20,000 KRW self-payment). This year, Goheung-gun plans to support 7,563 people (project budget 1.5 billion KRW), an increase of 238 from last year's 7,325 recipients, which is the largest number of beneficiaries in Jeollanam-do.
The happiness voucher support targets women farmers and fishermen aged between 20 and 75 who have resided in our county for more than one year (as of January 1, 2021) and are actively engaged in farming or fishing.
However, those who are registered business owners or have full-time occupations, children of farmers enrolled in high school, university, or graduate school, recipients of the Munhwa Nuri Card, and those with non-agricultural income exceeding 37 million KRW two years prior to the project implementation are excluded from support.
