On the 7th, Jeong said on Facebook, "To end the tyranny of the Moon Jae-in administration and the destruction of parliamentary democracy, we all must abandon selfish interests."
He said, "The People Power Party and the People Party are parties that seek to protect the constitutional values of market economy and liberal democracy and share these values," adding, "The integration of the two parties should take precedence over candidate unification. First integration, then unification is the answer."
Jeong said, "Opposition candidates should not be obsessed only with self-centered candidate unification methods but should work toward the integration of the free forces and constitutional protection forces," and added, "What impression can political engineering aimed at maximizing votes or candidate unification aimed at gaining even one more vote give to the people?"
He asked candidates from the People Power Party, "To those in our camp who raised their hands to become Seoul mayor or Busan mayor, I ask, is the fact that the 'People Power Party' has higher approval ratings in Seoul and Busan because we did well?"
The high approval rating of the People Power Party is due to the 'regime judgment theory.' Jeong said, "(The rise in People Power Party support) is the result of the people's anger condensed to stop the misrule and tyranny of the Moon Jae-in administration," and added, "Therefore, the 'candidate variable' in this Seoul and Busan mayoral election has practically disappeared."
He also pointed out to Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People Party, "Candidate Ahn says, 'I must be outside the People Power Party for moderate votes to rally around me.' Who says such nonsense?" and added, "Currently, moderate votes are leaning toward the main opposition party due to the urgent desire to end tyranny."

This can be interpreted as meaning that both the People Power Party candidates and Candidate Ahn should unite for unification. He said, "Candidate unification, primary election rules, 'one shot,' 'two shot,' are meaningless talks," and added, "What truly matters is uniting for the grand cause of judging the unconstitutional Moon Jae-in administration and achieving regime change. This is the way to meet the people's aspirations."
