Shinsegae TV Shopping, Fostering Content Creators Among 2040 Youth Generation
Recruitment of Trainees for 'The On Air Plus'
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] Shinsegae TV Shopping announced on the 7th that it will launch the ‘THE ON-AIR+ Program’ to support young people aspiring to enter the new media field.
The THE ON-AIR+ Program is a new social contribution project by Shinsegae TV Shopping designed to provide education and entrepreneurial opportunities to young people who wish to become solo broadcasters (content creators) or want to systematically learn about content production.
In collaboration with Sandbox Network, a leading domestic multi-channel network (MCN) company, and Underdogs, a startup education specialist company, the curriculum is composed of specialized content creation and entrepreneurship training courses that can be immediately applied in practice. After completing the program, participants will be supported to be active on various online platforms.
Applications can be submitted through the dedicated website until January 26, and any young individual or team aged 19 to 39 who wishes to start a business or find employment as a solo media content creator is eligible to apply. A total of 30 trainees will be selected through a first-round document screening and a second-round interview.
The final selected participants will attend a six-week training course and expert lectures in related fields starting from February 17. In addition to education for content creation and entrepreneurship, applicants will also receive support for networking and collaboration among creators, as well as access to shooting studio spaces and facilities for project development.

A Shinsegae TV Shopping official said, “In the era of digital transformation accelerated by the untact (non-face-to-face) culture, we have structured the program to help prepare media creators as a profession rather than a hobby,” adding, “We hope this will serve as an opportunity to revitalize the sluggish job market.”
