Gwangju City Provides Additional Free Snow Removal Materials to Citizens
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 6th that it will provide additional snow removal materials free of charge to citizens in preparation for heavy snowfall.
The Gwangju Comprehensive Construction Headquarters decided to provide about 170 tons of snow removal materials (calcium chloride) currently in stock, considering the recent heavy snowfall at the end of last year that caused multiple vehicle accidents on snowy roads and pedestrian slipping accidents.
The distribution amount is 20 to 40 kg per person, and materials can be received at the Gwangju Comprehensive Construction Headquarters Bonchon Office until supplies run out.
In particular, this year, 1 to 2 tons will also be provided to community service centers and apartment management offices that apply to support snow removal work by complexes, as many citizens use the snow removal materials.
Gwangju expects that this free distribution of snow removal materials will help with "snow clearing work in front of one’s home and store."
