Professor Park Young-do of Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Dong-Eui University, Best Paper Award from the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Professor Park Young-do of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Major in Metal Materials Engineering at Dong-Eui University (President Han Su-hwan) received the Best Paper Award from the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers last December.
Professor Park Young-do conducted a two-year research project with Professor Lee Hyung-il's laboratory at Sogang University on predicting the shear fracture load of automotive body projection welds. Their paper titled "Prediction of Shear Fracture Load of Projection Welds between Dissimilar Materials and Thicknesses of High-Strength Steel" was published in the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers Transactions A (SCOPUS, Transactions of the KSME, A), Volume 43, Issue 11, 2019.

The Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers Transactions, established in February 1977 and published 12 times annually, is the top domestic journal in the field of mechanical engineering. Professor Park's paper was selected as the Best Paper of the 2019 edition of Transactions A of the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers.
