K7 Records Highest Sales Since First Launch
K5 Sales More Than Double Compared to Previous Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Kia Motors' sedan brand, the K series, has set a new record for the highest annual sales in the domestic market for three consecutive years last year. Since the launch of the mid-large sedan K7 in 2009, it has achieved the highest sales record ever, and it is expected to surpass 160,000 units for the first time in history.
According to the industry on the 3rd, Kia Motors' K series had already surpassed the previous year's (2019) annual sales volume (150,772 units) by mid-last month, setting a new sales record.
The cumulative sales volume of the K series from January to November last year was 147,823 units. Assuming that about 13,000 units, the average monthly sales level of last year, were sold in December, it will exceed 160,000 units for the first time ever.

The K series lineup was established starting with the K7 in 2009, followed by the mid-size sedan K5 in 2010, the compact sedan K3 and the large sedan K9 in 2012.
