[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] An employee of the Sangmu 1-dong Community Service Center in Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City tested positive for COVID-19, leading to the temporary closure of the center.
According to Seo-gu on the 31st, employee A (Gwangju case number 1081) of the Sangmu 1-dong Community Service Center was confirmed positive the previous day.
A underwent a COVID-19 test after a family member (case number 1074) was confirmed positive earlier that day.
Following A's positive result, 16 colleagues also underwent testing and all tested negative, but they entered self-quarantine until January 13 of next year.
