Next Year, 20,284 Institutions Subject to Employment Screening for Retired Public Officials... 248 More Than Last Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Son Sunhee] The number of institutions requiring screening for retired public officials seeking reemployment has been confirmed at 20,284 starting next year. This is an increase of 248 from the 20,036 institutions as of the end of June.
The Ministry of Personnel Management announced this list of institutions subject to employment screening in the official gazette on the 31st.
Among the institutions subject to employment screening announced on this day, the for-profit sector increased by 216 from last year to 16,002. This includes 15,819 private companies, 41 law firms, 58 accounting firms, 80 tax firms, and 4 foreign legal advisory offices.
The non-profit sector increased by 31 from last year to 1,537. This includes 16 market-type public enterprises, 205 public official-related organizations in safety supervision, licensing, and procurement fields, 640 private universities, 507 general hospitals, and 169 social welfare corporations.
The number of institutions subject to screening in specific fields is 2,745, including 53 in the defense industry, 152 in public safety, and 2,540 private schools.
