Public Recruitment for Director and Part-time Executive at Gwangju Welfare Institute Foundation (재)
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Gwangju Welfare Foundation announced on the 30th that it will publicly recruit 12 executives, including the new director and auditor of the tentatively named Gwangju Welfare Research Institute, which will be newly launched next year.
To enhance the public nature and transparency of the recruitment, the foundation held the 1st Executive Recommendation Committee on the 29th, composed of seven members recommended by the city council, city, and foundation, finalized the announcement for the recruitment of the director and executives, and announced the public recruitment starting that day.
The full-time director oversees the foundation's finances and affairs and is in charge of external cooperation tasks.
Applicants must be capable and reputable individuals with expertise and extensive experience in related fields such as social welfare, management, or administration. Eligibility includes those who have obtained a doctoral degree in welfare-related fields and have worked as a professor-level staff (assistant professor or higher) at a university or research institute, or those with experience operating facilities such as social welfare-related corporations.
The term of office is three years, with the possibility of one renewal. Selection is made through document screening and interviews by the Executive Recommendation Committee.
Applications will be accepted from January 7 to 13 next year. Interested candidates can print the application form from the Gwangju City or Gwangju Welfare Foundation websites and submit it in person or by mail.
For part-time executives, 10 directors and 1 auditor will be appointed, with a three-year term and the possibility of renewal.
Additionally, candidates must not fall under the disqualification criteria specified in the articles of incorporation. Directors should be experts in various welfare fields and representatives of civil society, and auditors must have accounting-related qualifications such as certified public accountants. Selection is made through document screening only, and as these are part-time positions, no salary is paid except for meeting allowances.
