Porsche Korea Shares 4-Year Achievements of Social Contribution Campaign 'Dudream'
Construction of Indoor Gyms at 6 Schools Over 4 Years
New Projects This Year Including 'Porsche Dream Circle'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Porsche Korea's social contribution campaign 'Porsche Do Dream' is celebrating its 4th year this year, achieving meaningful results through the expansion of existing programs and the development of new ones.
Holger Gehrmann, CEO of Porsche Korea, said, "The 'Porsche Dream Playground,' which builds indoor gyms based on the Porsche brand identity of 'dream,' and 'Porsche Dream Up,' which supports the dreams of children talented in various arts and sports, have established themselves as flagship programs for future generations. Especially this year, we are pleased to introduce the new 'Porsche Dream Circle,' which creates forests within schools and installs solar panels, demonstrating the harmony between modern technology and sustainability."
Over the past four years, Porsche Korea has built indoor gyms at a total of six schools, including one general school and five special schools. This year, they expanded support for special schools requiring specialized spaces tailored to disabilities by completing additional Dream Playgrounds at Holt School for children with intellectual disabilities and Saesol School for children with developmental disabilities.
They also selected the next generation of leaders in sports and arts fields such as violin, clarinet, fencing, and judo, providing opportunities to continue pursuing their dreams. Despite restrictions on competitions and training due to COVID-19 this year, achievements included acceptance into gifted academies, awards at national-level competitions, and selection for the youth national team reserve squad.
Additionally, the new project 'Porsche Dream Circle,' which provides learning spaces where students can play in nature and raises awareness of the importance of resource circulation values, was newly introduced at Pangyo Elementary School, Eunjin Elementary School, and Jamhyeon Elementary School.
Furthermore, as the COVID-19 pandemic prolonged, Porsche Korea, together with its four official dealers, raised a total of 200 million KRW in emergency funds through a one-to-one matching grant system to support infection prevention and livelihood assistance for vulnerable children and low-income families in local communities facing difficulties.
