According to the quarantine authorities, Seoul city, and other local governments on the 29th, a total of 689 people were newly confirmed nationwide from 0:00 to 18:00 on that day.
This is 151 more than the 538 cases recorded at the same time the previous day.
Among the interim counts by city and province, the metropolitan area accounted for 454 cases (65.9%), and non-metropolitan areas accounted for 235 cases (34.1%).
By city and province, Seoul had 200 cases, Gyeonggi 210, Incheon 44, Chungbuk 36, Daegu 35, Busan and Jeonbuk each 29, Gyeongnam 27, Chungnam 22, Gangwon 13, Ulsan 12, Daejeon and Gyeongbuk each 11, Jeju 5, Gwangju 3, and Sejong 2. Among the 17 cities and provinces, no confirmed cases were reported in Jeonnam.
Since there is still time left until midnight, when the count is finalized, the number of new confirmed cases announced at 0:00 on the 30th is expected to increase. On the previous day, there were 538 cases by 18:00, but the final count at midnight rose to 1,046.
New confirmed cases have been occurring around 1,000 daily.
