Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Announces 9 Award-Winning Public Proposals
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Cha Min-sik, hereinafter referred to as the Authority) announced 9 award-winning proposals for the "Making Yeosu·Gwangyang Port with the People" public suggestion contest on the 29th.
In particular, the Authority explained that this public suggestion contest introduced a new proposal method called "1-minute KakaoTalk proposal" to facilitate smooth communication with the public, resulting in a remarkable increase to 271 submissions compared to only 52 in previous years.
The award-winning works in the general public contest category include six in total: the Excellence Award for ▲placing rescue handkerchiefs with fire extinguishers; the Encouragement Awards for ▲establishing safety management using smart bands, ▲a warning system for incoming and outgoing ships using big data models, ▲upcycling jewelry made from plastic waste within the port, ▲container parks, and ▲CY sharing for logistics startup companies.
In the KakaoTalk proposal category, three proposals were selected as outstanding works, including "Inconveniences in Using Port Facilities" and "Safe Port Slogans."
To ensure fair evaluation of the 271 public proposals received this time, the Authority conducted a first evaluation through the proposal department's assessment and feedback from the business execution departments, followed by a second evaluation by internal and external judges to select the final award-winning works.
