IBK Industrial Bank of Korea Receives Presidential Citation in Volunteer Service Category at the 2020 Korea Volunteer Awards
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] IBK Industrial Bank announced on the 29th that it delivered 'gift packages' to 500 socially marginalized elderly and children through social welfare facilities.
The gifts consisted of quarantine supplies for COVID-19 prevention, winter cold-weather gear, and snacks. Due to the spread of COVID-19, volunteer activities were restrained, and the bank decided to share warmth by delivering gifts, according to IBK.
IBK has been engaged in social contribution activities such as scholarships and medical expense sponsorships for small and medium-sized enterprise workers and marginalized groups, participating in good rent campaigns to overcome national disasters like COVID-19 and heavy rains, providing the Chungju training center as a residential treatment center, and offering free lunch boxes. On the 4th, IBK was also awarded the Presidential Citation in the volunteer category at the '2020 Korea Volunteer Awards' in recognition of its social contribution activities.
