Jung Myung-hoon Performs Beethoven's Symphony 'Pastoral' with KBS Symphony Orchestra
Violinist Esther Yu Performs Beethoven Violin Concerto Collaboration
[Asia Economy Reporter Byunghee Park] Conductor Myung-Whun Chung will perform Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 "Pastoral" with the KBS Symphony Orchestra at Lotte Concert Hall on the 29th.
The concert, held as part of the Kyobo Noblier Concert series hosted and organized by Kyobo Life Insurance, will be conducted without an audience to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and can be watched for free by anyone on YouTube. The live performance will be streamed twice on the YouTube channel "Kyobo Noblier ART & CULTURE" at 3:30 PM live and at 7:30 PM as a recorded broadcast on the 29th.
Myung-Whun Chung and the KBS Symphony Orchestra will perform Beethoven's Violin Concerto in the first half and the "Pastoral" Symphony in the second half. Violinist Esther Yoo will be the soloist for the Violin Concerto in the first half.
Esther Yoo is a violinist who became the first resident artist in the history of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in 2018. At age 16, she set the record as the youngest prizewinner at the Sibelius International Violin Competition. In 2012, she also gained worldwide attention by placing fourth and becoming the youngest prizewinner at the Queen Elisabeth Competition.
