View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) announced on the 28th that Gioyoung (CEO Cho Sun-hye), a pharmaceutical and medical device distribution company, recently donated 240 books to the district.
Gioyoung operates an in-house program where all employees read one book together every month, and since 2016, it has contributed to fostering a reading culture by donating books annually to Seodaemun-gu.
The donated books, ranging from poetry collections to science books, are evenly distributed across reading culture spaces within Seodaemun-gu, including the Small Library for the New Year.
At the recent book donation ceremony held in the district office's main conference room, Seong Hee-jin, Executive Director of Education and Public Relations at Gioyoung, said, "We feel rewarded that residents are accessing the books donated to the district, and we will continue to steadily donate books in the future."
