Gibo, Recruiting Companies for the '8th Gibo Venture Camp' Participation
Focused Nurturing of Startups Leading the 4th Industrial Revolution
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Jung Yoon-mo, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 28th that it is recruiting participating companies for the 8th 'Kibo Venture Camp' to nurture capable innovative startup companies that will lead the 4th Industrial Revolution.
The Kibo Venture Camp is a program that focuses on nurturing innovative startup companies into star venture companies through collaboration with private accelerators based on Kibo's accumulated experience in supporting technology startups.
Participating companies will be selected through a first-round document screening and a second-round presentation evaluation, with about 50 companies to be recruited. This time, a regional balance and social venture recruitment track have been newly established, prioritizing non-metropolitan companies and companies creating social value.
Selected companies for the Kibo Venture Camp will receive various programs including ▲ consulting for establishing customized growth strategies ▲ mentoring linked with experts in various fields such as successful entrepreneurs ▲ opportunities for investment attraction and networking with venture capitalists, all of which are provided free of charge.
In particular, graduated companies will be systematically supported until successful startup establishment by providing a package of financial services such as guarantees and investments, and non-financial services such as venture certification, research and development (R&D) support, and technology transfer.
Director Baek Kyung-ho of Kibo stated, "Among the participating companies of the 8th Kibo Venture Camp, the top 25% of companies can receive guarantees of up to 1.5 billion KRW depending on their growth stage. Kibo will continue to do its best to help Kibo Venture Camp participating companies grow into unicorn companies through active support policies."
