‘The Gangnam’ App Enables Parking Violation Fine Inquiry and Payment
No Hassle Installing Security Programs at Once... Future Expansion of Simple Payment Services like KakaoPay
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu District Office (Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) has been providing a service since the 21st that allows users to check and pay parking violation fines through the ‘The Gangnam’ app with a simple identity verification process and vehicle number input.
The ‘Parking Violation Fine Payment Service’ opened in the public service menu of the ‘The Gangnam’ app eliminates the inconvenience of having to install additional security programs like ActiveX or manually entering the 19-digit electronic fine payment number each time local taxes are paid.
Users can check parking violation fines in Gangnam-gu by simply completing identity verification and entering their vehicle number, and pay via card or the ‘NHN Payco’ simple payment system.
Additionally, there are plans to enhance resident convenience by linking with other popular private simple payment services such as ‘KakaoPay’ in the future.
Meanwhile, since the 14th, the district has been operating a ‘Illegal Parking CCTV Enforcement Pre-Notification’ service that sends text messages to drivers who park in enforcement zones.
