Andong-si Lowers 'Happiness Taxi' Fare to 100 Won for Residents of Remote Villages Using Private Cars
Starting January 1 Next Year... Existing Fee 1,000 Won
Andong City will reduce the fare for the Happy Taxi to 100 won starting January 1, 2021.

According to Andong City on the 28th, residents of eup and myeon areas have faced a double burden of paying bus fares in addition to using the Happy Taxi to and from their locations, leading to a recent revision of related ordinances to support these residents.
The Happy Taxi operated by Andong City was introduced in 2017 to guarantee mobility rights for residents of remote villages.

Recently, with the addition of two villages, Garne and Eoran in Nokjeon-myeon, the service has expanded to 112 villages across 16 eup, myeon, and dong areas. According to Andong City, more than 25,000 residents have used the service so far, showing great response.
