Andong City received 37 institutional awards throughout the year, earning 102 million won in prize money and 260 million won in project funds provided as incentives, recognizing the excellence of its municipal administration.

This year, Andong City was selected as an excellent institution in 19 provincial-level evaluations and 6 central-level evaluations, including winning the Excellence Award in the 'COVID-19 Overcoming Hope Job Project Evaluation.'
Looking at each field, the city demonstrated balanced administrative capabilities by receiving awards across the entire administration without bias.
In the administrative field, it won the grand prize in both the 'Regulatory Reform Performance' and 'Civil Service Administration Performance' categories. In the culture and tourism sector, it received the Arts Center Award at the '13th Jeju Haevichi Art Festival Cultural Arts Awards.'
In the agriculture and livestock sector, it won the highest award in the 'Livestock Quarantine Policy Evaluation' and the excellence award in the 'Agricultural and Food Export Policy Evaluation.' In the environment and urban sector, it was selected as an excellent institution in the 'Public Sewer Operation Management Inspection.'
Achievements made amid the COVID-19 situation, which threatened citizens' health and safety, also stand out. In the safety and disaster field, it was recognized as an excellent institution in 'Disaster Management,' and in the health and welfare field, it won the highest award in the 'Food Public Hygiene Management' evaluation.
Notably, it achieved consecutive multi-year awards in 11 categories, including the '7th Local Government Heads’ Pledge Fulfillment and Information Disclosure Evaluation' and the 'Agricultural Policy Evaluation,' establishing itself as an excellent institution in policy execution capability.
In public contest projects, which greatly aid budget acquisition and city administration, 91 projects were selected, securing project funds of 293.6 billion KRW, an increase of 173.2 billion KRW compared to the previous year.
In the economic sector, it was selected for 9 projects such as the 'Traditional Market Old Electric Wire Maintenance Project' and the 'Traditional Market Fire Alarm Facility Installation Project,' securing 2.28 billion KRW for revitalizing traditional markets and alleyway commercial districts. Additionally, it was selected for 5 projects including the 'Eco-friendly Convergence Material Center Construction,' securing 87.64 billion KRW for future growth projects based on the 4th industrial revolution.
In the education sector, it secured 97 million KRW for 5 projects including the 'Visiting Village Lifelong Education Lecture Support Project,' and in the agriculture and livestock sector, it was selected for 11 projects including the 'Local Agricultural Products Utilization Side Dish Industry Promotion Project,' securing 4.26 billion KRW to strengthen agricultural and rural competitiveness.
In the culture and tourism sector, it secured 109.21 billion KRW for 46 projects including the 'Tourism Hub City Development Project' and the 'World Heritage Festival,' enabling the development of high-quality content as a world-class tourist city. Project funds of 11.07 billion KRW related to the 'Andong Multipurpose Gymnasium Construction Project' and the 'Yongsang Baseball Stadium Renovation Project' were also implemented as planned.
In the environment and urban sector, it was selected for 12 projects including the 'Signboard Improvement Project' and the 'Disaster Risk Improvement District Maintenance Project,' boasting achievements in securing project funds amounting to 79 billion KRW.
