Two Cases of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Confirmed at Duck Farms in Namwon and Gurye
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyunjung] The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters for Avian Influenza announced on the 25th that highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N8 type) was confirmed at meat duck farms located in Namwon-si, Jeonbuk, and Gurye-gun, Jeonnam.
Accordingly, the Headquarters will implement strengthened quarantine measures including ▲preventive culling of poultry within a 3km radius of the outbreak farms ▲a 30-day movement restriction and AI mass testing for poultry farms within a 10km radius ▲a 7-day movement restriction for all poultry farms located in the outbreak areas of Namwon and Gurye.
