[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Comedian Kim Sook won the Grand Prize at the '2020 KBS Entertainment Awards'.

On the 24th, the '2020 KBS Entertainment Awards' was hosted by Jeon Hyun-moo, Jin Se-yeon, and Kim Jun-hyun.

This year's ceremony was held as a special event to comply with quarantine measures.

First, it was conducted with the minimum possible number of people, and transparent partitions were placed between presenters.

The presenters maintained social distancing of over 2 meters. Even the congratulatory stage sessions performed behind transparent partitions and while wearing masks.

Among the Grand Prize nominees that day were Kim Sook, Jeon Hyun-moo, the Sam Hammington family, Kim Jong-min, and Lee Kyung-kyu, with Kim Sook ultimately receiving the honor.

When her name was called, Kim Sook showed a surprised expression.

She tearfully said, "I never imagined this. I am truly grateful to receive such a great award," moving those watching.

Meanwhile, the broadcast also included a moment to commemorate the late comedian Park Ji-sun.

At the end of the first part, Kim Jun-hyun said, "While this event is taking place here, the recording of Gag Concert was also held," adding, "There is one friend I miss especially much."

He continued, "She was always by our side and had a positive and good influence on many people. I often think of the friend whose bright smile was so lovable."

Afterwards, a video about Park Ji-sun played along with the subtitle 'KBS Public Recruitment 22nd Generation Comedian'.

According to the video, Park Ji-sun was the first comedian from 'Gag Concert' to receive the Rookie Award, Excellence Award, and Grand Excellence Award.
