Samgi "270 Billion KRW Automobile Parts Supply Contract... Largest Single Deal"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Samki announced on the 24th that it has been selected as the mass production supplier of Valve Body for large and medium-sized 8-speed automatic transmissions for the North American market by Hyundai Transys.
The supply contract is approximately KRW 270.6 billion over about 7 years, starting from June 2023 until 2029. According to the company, this is the largest single order in Samki's history.
The 8-speed automatic transmission Valve Body ordered this time is one of the most difficult parts to produce using aluminum die casting and will be delivered to Hyundai Transys' Georgia plant in North America. The final end users will be small and medium-sized sedans and SUVs of the globally best-selling automobile manufacturers.
A company official stated, "The company's die casting technology and productivity are world-class, and recently, production demands from global partners have continued," adding, "Not only expanding contracts with existing customers but also actively attracting new customers is laying the foundation for a leap forward."
