[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Daily Blockchain (hereinafter DBC), an ICT solution company specializing in 4th industrial revolution technology, showcased key models of the ‘2020 Jeju Smart City Challenge Preliminary Project.’
On the 23rd, through the ‘2020 Jeju Smart City Challenge Preliminary Project Demonstration Launch,’ DBC demonstrated the core smart city models optimized for renewable energy utilization implemented in this project, including ▲ the e-3DA integrated platform △ the e-mobility operation app ‘GreeGo’ ▲ the renewable energy platform ‘Grid+’ ▲ and the smart hub applying the renewable energy sharing model.
DBC has been participating as the lead consortium company for Jeju Island’s preliminary project, which was selected as the target site for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s ‘2020 Smart City Challenge Contest’ in May.
Starting from this launch event, the smart city e-3DA platform demonstration model implemented by DBC will be practically applied at a total of nine locations, including the smart hub at Haengwon-ri Renewable Energy Promotion Center, four gas stations including Seogwipo Innovation City gas station, three convenience stores, and the V2G and used battery demonstration center within Jeju Advanced Science Park. Jeju Island plans to use this project as an opportunity to expand the smart hubs envisioned in the Smart City Challenge Preliminary Project throughout the island.
Jo Youngjoong, CEO of DBC, stated, “This Smart City Challenge Preliminary Project will establish itself as a representative case of an advanced smart city model that builds a large-scale citizen-led sharing economy ecosystem and optimizes renewable energy utilization.” He added, “Although 4th industrial revolution technologies have emerged long ago, we will focus on flawlessly completing the project to lay the foundation of a ‘smart city’ that is applied in real life, contributes to sustainable development, and provides economic benefits along with improved convenience in daily life.”
