Woori Card Donates 6,000 Briquettes to Bapsang Community Briquette Bank
'Sharing Love' Volunteer Activity Conducted
Kimchi and Masks Delivered to Neighbors in Need in the Community
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Woori Card announced on the 24th that it conducted a 'Sharing Love' volunteer activity to donate winter supplies to neighbors having a difficult year-end due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
As COVID-19 has prolonged, Woori Card donated 6,000 briquettes to Bapsang Community Briquette Bank, which has been struggling due to reduced support, to help low-income families have a warm winter.
Donations of kimchi and masks for neighbors in need within the local community were also carried out. The company donated 500 kg of kimchi and about 1,000 masks to the Changsin 2-dong Community Service Center in Jongno-gu, which is partnered with the company under a one-company-one-dong agreement.
The masks were prepared through voluntary donations by Woori Card employees, adding more significance. By the 21st of this month, about 1,000 masks collected through employees' sharing were delivered to the donation box set up at Woori Card headquarters in Gwanghwamun.
